Halloween Treats: Graphic Candy Corn Cookies!

/ Wednesday, October 10, 2012

There's so much candy to play with in the grocery stores right now! Bless you Halloween madness. Perhaps I went a little overboard (you'd probably think so if you saw the bag of candy I'm currently hiding from my boyfriend) but there's so much to do, so many treats to create! Here's the first little project that came to mind:

GRAPHIC CANDY CORN COOKIES

1 tub vanilla frosting
Store-bought or homemade chocolate cookies
1 bag candy corn

1. Frost the tops of the cookies, almost all the way to the edge.
2. Arrange the candy corn, points towards the center, in concentric circles. (Depending on the size of your cookies, that means 3 to 4 circles of candy.) Set aside to let the frosting harden slightly, 15 to 20 minutes.

I like to use store-bought frosting for this project because it firms up better than homemade buttercream will, it's like sugar glue!
